Role Overview
As a Field Intern, you will gain direct experience in how Ford Motor Company manages and supports its independent Dealer Network. During this 12-week internship based out of one of our 21 Regional Offices, you will work alongside field teams and shadow experienced Field Zone Managers as they advise Dealers on driving sales performance and elevating the customer ownership experience.
This internship will help you build foundational automotive business skills, and soft skills needed for potential full-time employment as a Field Zone Manager – Ford College Graduate (FCG).
What You will Do
Our Field Interns experience a dynamic blend of office collaboration and hands-on field experience:
- Regional Office Immersion: Work on-site at an assigned Ford Regional Office (or Dearborn Headquarters), collaborating directly with field leadership and cross-functional teams across Sales, Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD), Ford Credit, and more.
- Shadow & Field Experience: Travel with Zone Managers to dealerships to observe strategic consultations, operations reviews, and dealership executive dealer meetings. Weekly in region zone travel is required.
- Data & Market Analysis: Analyze dealer sales metrics, market share trends, and regional performance data to help identify growth and profitability opportunities.
- Program Execution: Assist in implementing national corporate programs, customer experience initiatives, and promotional marketing campaigns across the local dealer network.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Academic Standing: Current college Junior (graduating between December 2027 and Summer 2028)
- Education: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Management, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics, Human Resources, Sales, Communications, Hospitality Business, or related).
- GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Full-Time Availability: Available for full-time employment by September 2028 (or post-graduation).
- Mobility & Location Flexibility:
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule on-site at an assigned Ford Regional Office and travel to dealers in the region (personal vehicle required; car is not provided)
- Willingness to travel regionally 3–4 days per week when in region and have reliable transportation.
- Willingness to relocate to any of Ford’s 21 Regional Offices nationwide upon conversion to full-time employment.
- Licensing: Valid and unrestricted driver’s license without limitations.
