The Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science

The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John’s University is a premier institution specializing in risk-related disciplines. Originally founded in 1901 as the Insurance Society of New York, it evolved through several forms before merging with St. John’s in 2001 and being renamed in honor of Maurice R. Greenberg in 2020. Now part of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, the Greenberg School is located at 101 Astor Place in Manhattan, giving students direct access to the global financial and insurance industries.

The Greenberg School offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs focused on insurance, actuarial science, risk management, analytics, and finance. It is one of only 17 Centers of Actuarial Excellence in the U.S. and is recognized as a Global Center of Insurance Excellence.
