Case Interviews & Consulting

A case interview is a type of interview commonly used in consulting to assess how you think through complex business problems. Instead of being asked about your resume or experience (though that may also happen), you’re given a hypothetical business scenario—a “case”—and asked to solve it.

Think of it as a real-world business puzzle: A company might be losing profits, considering entering a new market, or trying to launch a new product. Your job is to ask questions, do some quick math, and offer recommendations based on the data you’re given.
