About Three Moore Co.
Three Moore Co. is a civic-aligned real estate development and investment firm dedicated to transforming underutilized public land into thriving, mixed-use communities through strategic Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Our mission is guided by a “Moore Than Buildings” philosophy, emphasizing long-term urban stewardship, zero displacement, and the creation of equitable, opportunity-rich environments. We are currently capitalizing The Legacy Initiative LP to execute a pipeline of transformative projects in major U.S. cities.
The Opportunity
We are seeking 1-2 highly motivated and creative student or recent graduate fellows in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to move beyond theoretical coursework and contribute to the visualization of real-world, institutional-grade redevelopment projects.
Your work will be instrumental in translating our civic-aligned vision and financial models into compelling conceptual designs. These visuals will be a critical component of our investor relations materials, directly supporting our efforts to secure the capital needed to bring these legacy projects to life.
Core Responsibilities
Conceptual Design Development: Based on project briefs derived from actual municipal RFPs and strategic opportunities, you will develop high-level conceptual designs. Deliverables will include site plans, massing studies, and illustrative renderings.
Narrative Visualization: Create visuals that powerfully communicate the core principles of our model, such as the seamless integration of mixed-income housing, the activation of public spaces, and the fostering of vibrant, walkable communities.
Precedent Research: Analyze inspirational precedent projects that align with the Three Moore Co. vision for catalytic, community-focused development.
Collaboration: Work directly with the founder, Leroy Moore III, to refine concepts and ensure they align with the firm’s strategic, financial, and impact-oriented goals.
The Ideal Candidate
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Proficient in design software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) for producing high-quality visual materials.
Possesses a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent conceptual design and graphic communication skills.
Has a demonstrable passion for urban revitalization, social equity, and sustainable community development.
A self-starter who can work independently, manage time effectively, and translate strategic ideas into compelling visuals.
What You Will Gain
This is an unpaid fellowship designed to provide significant value to your professional development:
A World-Class Portfolio: You will receive full usage rights to all work created, allowing you to build a professional portfolio with tangible, high-impact project examples.
Real-World Experience: Gain invaluable insight into the pre-development phase of institutional-grade real estate projects, including the process of responding to municipal RFPs.
Direct Mentorship: Opportunity to work directly with and be mentored by the company’s founder.
Letter of Recommendation: A strong letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the fellowship.
