Event Media Operations Intern
The Schneps Events Event Operations Assistant Internship offers college students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live event production and operations within a leading events and media organization. With decades of experience producing large-scale B2B and B2C events across New York and beyond, Schneps Events provides interns with direct exposure to the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of professional events. This internship is designed to develop practical operational skills, industry awareness, and real-world experience that prepares students for careers in event production, event operations, and experiential marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and execution of live events, including networking receptions, expos, and awards programs
- Support event logistics such as run-of-show timelines, production schedules, load-in/load-out coordination, and on-site setup
- Assist with vendor coordination, including catering, audiovisual, décor, staffing, and venue teams
- Help manage guest registration, check-in systems, seating arrangements, and on-site attendee flow
- Support the preparation of event materials including signage, credentials, programs, and event kits
- Assist with pre-event preparation, including organizing internal documents, timelines, and production checklists
- Provide on-site event support, including troubleshooting, guest assistance, and general operational needs during events
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and execution across departments
- Participate in event planning meetings, production calls, and post-event debriefs
- Assist with post-event wrap-up tasks such as inventory tracking, feedback collection, and recap documentation

Hands-On Event Industry Experience
Event Operations Assistant Interns will support the planning, coordination, and execution of live events produced by Schneps Events. Operational & Professional Skill Development

By the end of the program, interns will have a strong foundation in event operations and a clear understanding of how live events are executed from planning through post-event wrap-up.
Networking & Industry Exposure
Schneps Events produces events that bring together executives, business leaders, nonprofit organizations, sponsors, and community influencers. Interns will have the opportunity to interact with these professionals while supporting event operations, gaining valuable insight into the events and media industries
Academic Credit
Interns must be eligible to receive academic credit through their college or university. Schneps Media works directly with students and academic institutions to ensure all requirements are met, including documentation, evaluations, and hour tracking.
Flexible Work Structure
Depending on the nature of the event schedule and intern availability, this role may be in-person, remote, or hybrid. Some responsibilities will require in-person attendance at events, venues, or site visits. Each internship posting will clearly outline expectations regarding location and scheduling.
