Two, a clothing line made from natural textiles is Seeking a part time studio assistant with a keen sense of detail and a love for handmade textiles to help primarily with outgoing web shipments, and textile/clothing design.
Job includes: Web shipments, Sourcing in the garment district,organizing mood boards, designing textiles and helping with sewing projects . Our Most important task requires prepping garments (handmade textiles) including doing quality control, making sure each is appropriately steamed and pressed.
In addition: Assist with development for our textile focused women’s line, and ability to help in design as well as sourcing and reviewing samples and trims- while keeping organized notes. Production experience is welcome. Assisting with social media reels is also very helpful.
This position is for summer and can be long-term for the right person who can wear a few hats! Please advise your available days to work in your email. Hours 3 days a week.
Duties include (In order of Priority)
- Quality Control of garments we ship out to clients and stores.
Steaming garments, folding prepping, mending. Spot cleaning, preparing hangtags.
Manage web orders for clients, prep garments with finesse.
- Help source, organize and create design inspiration boards.
Research and organization of textiles, trims or sources.
Pick up samples and product from manufacturer in garment district.
Quality Control of garments coming in from garment district.
Requires attention to detail, organized, creative.
- Sewing samples and stock /or small sewing projects based on skills
- Can help with sales for wholesale accounts. Creating reels for Marketing.
