Registration alone does NOT guarantee participation. OverviewThe 4-Day Experiential Internship with the Sport Psychology Team is a selective, in-person internship experience designed for undergraduate students who are interested in sport psychology, mental performance, and athlete well-being. This immersive opportunity provides hands-on exposure to the field through applied learning, mentorship, and professional skill development within a collegiate athletics environment.Participants will gain insight into the day-to-day work of sport psychologists while actively engaging in experiential activities that connect theory, research, and practice. What You Will DoSelected interns will:
Learn foundational concepts in sport psychology and mental performance

Gain insight into a “day in the life” of a sport psychologist working in college athletics
Practice applied mental performance skills through interactive role-play and experiential exercises

Conduct a mini research project exploring the intersection of sport, performance, and mental health
Build professional and career-readiness skills through:
Structured discussions
Mentorship opportunities
Career exploration and reflection activities

 Who Can Apply
Open to all undergraduate students interested in:
Sport Psychology
Kinesiology
Sport Management
Psychology
or related fields focused on athlete mental health and performance

Priority consideration will be given to St. John’s University students
