This page highlights career resources that may be useful to you if you have served or are currently serving in the military, plus some additional resources for military family members and spouses.

- Their comprehensive services include job placement, vocational training, and ongoing support to help you achieve your career goals.

- A dedicated career hub designed to assist veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses in finding and pursuing federal government job.

- A leading resource for U.S. military members, veterans, and their families—offering news, benefits, and career support.
- The Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW)
- A page on the VA’s Benefits site is a centralized resource designed to support service members transitioning to civilian life, veterans seeking employment, and employers.
- Veterans’ Employment and Training Service
- Provides resources, programs, and services designed to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses achieve meaningful careers. It offers information on employment rights (e.g., USERRA), job training, apprenticeship opportunities, and employer incentives to hire veterans. The site also supports employers in recruiting and retaining veteran talent.
- My Next Move for Veterans
- A career exploration website developed by the National Center for O*NET Development for the U.S. Department of Labor. It helps veterans transition to civilian careers by matching their military experience (via MOC/MOS codes) with relevant civilian occupations.
- Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC)
- It is part of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). It provides specialized business training, counseling, and mentoring to veterans, service members, and military spouses interested in starting or growing a small business.
- DoD Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
- An official U.S. Department of Defense portal that supports service members transitioning from military to civilian life.
- FourBlock: Veteran Career Readiness Description
- Their career readiness program is designed to equip Veterans with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful transition to professional careers. Benefit from comprehensive career development workshops, mentorship opportunities, and networking events to enhance your career readiness.
- Edge4Vets
- A career development program that helps veterans and transitioning military personnel prepare for civilian employment. It offers in-person and online workshops, career coaching, and a “prep & connect” model that links veterans with corporate mentors and job opportunities. The program is hosted by the Human Resiliency Institute at Fordham University.
- The Microsoft Software & Systems Academy (MSSA)
- A training program that prepares transitioning service members and veterans for high-demand careers in technology. MSSA offers an 18-week curriculum focused on cloud development or system administration, followed by opportunities to interview for tech roles at Microsoft and partner companies. It is part of Microsoft’s broader military initiative to support career transitions into the civilian workforce.
- Salesforce Military
- Free online classes for veterans and military spouses, free certification exams, and guaranteed interviews.
- Viscardi Center
- The center offers a range of employment services and programs tailored specifically to individuals with disabilities, including Veterans. Explore their resources, career counseling, and job placement assistance to help you find meaningful employment.
- Wounded Warrior Project: Warriors to Work
- It helps veterans and their families achieve career success through tailored support. The program offers career counseling, resume assistance, interview prep, networking opportunities, and employer connections. It is designed for post-9/11 wounded, ill, or injured service members and supports their transition to meaningful civilian employment.
- VA New York Harbor Health Care
- Provides comprehensive medical, mental health, and specialty care services to veterans in the New York City area. It operates three main campuses in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans, offering primary care, inpatient and outpatient services, and specialized programs such as women’s health, telehealth, and homeless veteran care.
- Veterans Success Center
- The VSC assists student veterans with successfully transitioning from military service to university life through networking opportunities, resources, community service, and advocacy. The VSC aims to foster an environment honoring military service and improving the quality of their university experience. We host weekly events and monthly luncheons to bring student veterans together and to connect them with other resources on campus.
